"Operation We Care - Support Our Soldiers"
... is a non-profit, all-volunteer group, established in December 2004 by
Kristi Kerns-Farmer of Greenville, South Carolina for the sole purpose of promoting patriotism and
providing support for our military who so bravely serve our country. "Operation
We Care - Support Our Soldiers" is requesting donations of needed items to send
to our U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Financial contributions are needed
as well to help defray the cost of shipping Care packages. All donations of requested
items or monetary donations are tax deductible.
"Operation We Care - Support Our Soldiers" is asking for community and national
support in order to positively affect the morale of the greatest number of military
personnel possible. The mission of "Operation We Care - Support Our Soldiers"
is not about if you believe in the war but, rather, believing in the men and women
who serve our country. Our soldiers desperately need our support and encouragement
from home.
The response from soldiers who have received "We Care" packages is both humbling
and inspirational. Knowing one small gesture of love and support from "Operation
We Care - Support Our Soldiers" has kept them motivated, encouraged and yes, in
some cases...alive. Knowing this makes the mission of "Operation We Care - Support
Our Soldiers" all the more important and urgent.
